Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition Audition Video Instructions

Send us a 10-20 minute home tape showing us WHAT MAKES YOU  – YOU! Make your video as personal as possible. You must have someone else record you so you are on camera the whole time. Make sure we can see and hear you clearly. Please do not edit your tape, we prefer you send it uncut. Be as creative, big and bold as you can! There is no "right" or "wrong" thing to say on tape, we just want to get to know you.

We need to get to know your PERSONALITY and SEE YOU IN ACTION!!! Take us on a tour of your
life. SHOW US YOUR JOB, LIFESTYLE & FAMILY. Show us what is important to you. For example, if
there is a high school letterman’s jacket, military uniform or wedding dress you hope to wear again, show us. If you are doing this for your kids, show us! If you are married, have kids or have a girlfriend/boyfriend, quickly have them introduce themselves.  If you do not tell us…we will never know.

POINTS TO HIT:

• Start with your name, age, height, weight and where you reside.

• Show us, don’t just tell us, why you need to lose the weight. Lift up your shirt or take off your shirt

  so we can see your weight. If you have a daily activity you have trouble with, actually have someone

  film you doing it.

• Let us know why you are a great candidate for the show.

• Take us to your favorite restaurant(s) and show us what you eat.

• What sets you apart from the crowd?

• How does your weight affect you? Your life? Your work? Your relationships?

• Show us photos!

REGARDING VIDEO FORMAT:

- We accept videotapes on DVDs or Mini-DVs. We DO NOT accept home tapes on Hi-8 and mini DVDs.
- You can send your video via the internet using either Vimeo.com, emailing as a .MOV file or
uploading to YouTube. (IMPORTANT NOTE: If you choose to use YouTube do not list any of your
contact information during your video, please be sure to list it in the body of your email instead. Also, be sure to set the video to UNLISTED. This allows only those with the link to view it and it will not be seen by the public. If you are applying via email, please attach your application and photo to the email before sending.

-Editing your video is not necessary, however if you do decide to edit it then please send us a copy of the UN-EDITED footage as well as your final edited version. Please send these in the same package or if uploading then send us both links. 

>DEADLINE: Your package must be post marked no later than FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH, 2012.

>MAKE A COPY OF YOUR TAPE TO HAVE FOR YOURSELF IN CASE ANYTHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO
YOUR VIDEOTAPE SUBMISSION.
